Florida History Fair
Sponsored by the Museum of Florida History, the Florida History Fair (FHF) is an annual, statewide activity that enhances the teaching and learning of history at elementary and secondary levels.
Florida's Spanish Colonial History Bibliography
Florida's Spanish colonial heritage began nearly 100 years before Jamestown with Juan Ponce de León's 1513 landing and ended when Florida became a territory of the United States in 1821. This bibliography lists some of the published works held by the State Library regarding the events beginning with Spanish attempts to explore Florida.
Thomas Sidney Jesup Diary
Thomas Sidney Jesup commanded military operations in Florida during the early stages of the Second Seminole War (1835-1842). This diary is his personal account of the conflict from October 1, 1836, to May 30, 1837.
